Lactic Acid: It is a natural humectant, pulling moisture from the collagen levels to the surface of the skin. It has a “plumping” effect, particularly on dry and dehydrated skin. It loosens the cells of the stratum granulosum allowing them to slough, repeated use increases dermal thickness, reduces actinic keratosis, wrinkles and scars by depositing collagen in dermis, plumps the skin due to the humectant properties.
